Road to Castle

Be sure to visit the sights of the settlement, as you will be enriched with beautiful sights and valuable knowledge. Leaving the Country Houses, you arrive at the Castle Parking lot after 400 meters. From there you will reach the Lower Castle through an ascending path, where you will find the ticket office and temporary kennels for dogs.

After a short walk from the Lower Castle, you will reach the entrance to the Upper Castle through a steep wooden and rock staircase. In the meantime, you can see a stunning sight, as you can see not only the landscape, but also the unique Castle Hill in Füzér.

Road to the Upper Castle

Ascending to the Castle may also take longer due to changing terrain conditions. Depending on the weather conditions, a tour to the Upper Castle can become more difficult.

Please pay special attention to your own and others’ physical health. In case of entering the Castle of Füzér, the visitor is responsible for his own physical health! The entire territory of the Castle lies in a conservation area; it is in the interest of all of us to maintain a clean environment!

Wooden and rock staircases leading to the Upper Castle may occasionally become wet or slippery. Please arrive in appropriate footwear!

Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre is located in the centre of the village. The building is easily recognized by its special cone-shaped roof structure. It also acts as an information centre and exhibition venue. It is also an excellent location for those who find it difficult to get to the castle, since the 16th-17th century, contemporary tiled stove pieces and other objects that were once found during the archaeological excavation of the castle can be viewed.
